REACh Consortia Manager / Project Manager (2010-June-29) - Ref. 2010-23

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Registration of chemicals according to the EU regulatory framework for Chemical Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACh)
  • Consortium management
  • Communication and close co-operation with our clients, in particular large global industries
  • Development and management of task forces
  • Co-ordination and cross reading / grouping of chemicals
  • SIEF (Substance Information Exchange Forum) communication
  • Data gathering / Data evaluation/ Data gap analysis according to REACh (EC 1907/2006)
  • Co-ordination and input of associated data into IUCLID 5
  • Co-ordination of  development, preparation and generation of Chemical Safety Reports
  • Financial evaluation/ coordination of reimbursement within Consortia

Profile and Qualifications:

  • University degree in biology, chemistry, pharmacy, veterinary medicine or equivalent
  • A PhD in the field of Toxicology / Ecotoxicology or Chemistry would be of great advantage
  • Must be strongly motivated with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent language skills in English and German (spoken and written); additional language skills would be an asset
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills are required
  • Ability to work in a team, self motivated and skilled in diplomacy

  • Preparation of dossiers (IUCLID 5) for the purpose of the registration of chemical substances according to the REACh legislation
  • Classification and Labelling of chemical substances in compliance with the EU DSD and DPD regulations
  • Develop risk assessment solutions for our clients
  • Communicate and cooperate closely with our customers and their clients

Profile and Qualifications:

  • University degree in chemistry, biology, agricultural science, or equivalent
  • Experience in regulatory and registration procedures would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of CLP (GHS) regulation would be a benefit
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and team playing skills
  • Excellent language skills in English and German (oral and written)
  • Highly self motivated
  • Routine application of MS office

  • Preparation, authorisation and updating of safety data sheets and labels, for mainly the European market and in addition for non-European markets
  • Close cooperation and communication with our customers and the relevant authorities

Profile and Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Chemistry or equivalent science,
  • Knowledge of physico-chemical properties
  • Experience in product safety, occupational health and safety or safety data sheet preparation
  • Knowledge in transportation law would be an advantage as well as  basic knowledge of toxicological and/or ecotoxicological effects
  • Familiar with standard office software and willing to learn new applications

Project Manager

We are interested on an on-going basis in candidates with a PhD qualification in Analytical Chemistry, Ecotoxicology, Toxicology, Metabolism, Life/Environmental Science or comparable fields. Experience in the registration of chemicals, agrochemicals, biocides or pharmaceuticals is an asset but not a requirement.
